A Journey of Growth and Excellence
We opened our doors in September 2005, beginning with just 65 local students. Since then, we have grown into a fully established, internationally accredited K-12 school with over 350 students representing 38 nationalities. Our founding members, many of whom remain part of our leadership and teaching teams, have provided stability and continuity of vision over the years.
ISA was initiated by the Schwaben Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and in our 18 years of existence, we have built a strong reputation in the region. More than 265 young people have successfully graduated from ISA, many of whom have gone on to attend prestigious universities, pursue careers across the globe, or even start their own companies. A significant number of our alumni have chosen careers in the fields of science and art.
In response to our growing community, we are excited to expand our facilities with a new campus that will offer state-of-the-art learning spaces, enhanced sports facilities, and an even more vibrant environment for students. This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible education and fostering holistic growth for our students.

We Care
We believe that education goes beyond academics; it's about nurturing the whole student. We take pride in fostering a supportive and caring environment where every student is encouraged to flourish. Whether it's academic guidance, emotional well-being, or personal development, our teachers and staff are committed to understanding and meeting the individual needs of each student. As one parent shared:
My daughter's reading and writing improved immensely, even though she has dyslexia. That was only possible with the encouragement of all of her teachers. They helped boost her self-confidence, and the small class sizes gave her the personal attention that she needed.
Governance
ISA is proud to be a not-for-profit school, recently transitioning to a gemeinnützige AG (a non-profit public corporation). This change strengthens our commitment to shared investment in the school’s future, ensuring that every decision made is focused on the well-being of our students and the sustainability of our community. One of the unique aspects of this structure is that ISA alumni automatically become shareholders, creating a lifelong connection to their former school and reinforcing their role in shaping its future.
Our school is guided by a supervisory board that provides oversight and sets the strategic direction for ISA. This board ensures that our long-term goals align with our mission and values.
Day-to-day operations are managed by a leadership team, which includes some of ISA’s founding members. This team brings extensive intercultural expertise and a deep understanding of education, ensuring ISA maintains its commitment to a balanced, challenging academic program that benefits all students.
