At ISA, our mission is to help students excel both academically and personally, preparing them to be successful in school and in life. We provide personalised support in academic, college, and career planning, empowering students to take charge of their futures with confidence

Comprehensive Guidance from Grade 10 Onwards

Our support begins early and continues throughout the critical years leading up to university.

Diploma Readiness and Subject Selection

In Grade 10, we guide students and families through the IB Diploma decision process. We start with an information evening that explains the IB Diploma structure and entry requirements. Throughout the year, parents receive regular updates, including trimester reports, and mock exam results. To ensure that students make informed choices, we conduct one-on-one interviews where students can discuss their subject preferences and future goals with our experienced counselors.

Pre-Diploma Program

As part of our Pre-DP course, Grade 10 students gain access to the ‘ISA College Counselling’ Google Classroom. This comprehensive resource includes links to valuable information on careers and university guidance. Through interactive workshops, students explore career options and learn about centralised university application systems like UCAS (UK) and the Common Application (USA).

Ongoing Support in Grades 11 and 12

In Grades 11 and 12, our support continues with personalised counselling sessions that focus on university applications and personal statement drafting. We also students to explore global opportunities through BridgeU, and guide them through the college application process.

Real-World Experience Through Internships

Gaining practical experience is a key part of our program. We assist students in Grades 9 and 10 in finding internships that align with their interests and future career aspirations. In Grade 9, students participate in a one-week internship, while in Grade 10, they undertake a two-week internship. Our support includes helping students prepare their CVs and cover letters, as well as providing feedback from supervisors to highlight strengths and areas for improvement.
