It's hard to believe everything started only in 2005!

International School Augsburg opened its doors to students for the first time in September 2005. From a starting enrolment of 65 local students, the school has grown to a fully-established, successfully accredited K-12 school with a enrolment of over 350 students with 38 nationalities and several members of the leadership and teaching team have been with the school since its foundation, providing stability and continuity of vision.
ISA was an initiative of the Schwaben Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In its 18 years of existence it has established a very positive reputation. The school continues to grow. More than a 265 young people have graduated successfully. Many have attended reputable universities, are pursuing careers across the globe or started their own company. A high percentage of alumni have chosen careers in the fields of science or art.
External stamps of quality include several successful evaluations by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (2008, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020, 2022), the Cambridge International Examinations Board (2009) the Council of International Schools along (2012, 2019). The school is proud of its excellent track record.
The school which began as a not-for-profit limited company was recently converted to a 'gemeinnützige AG', a not-for-profit publicly-owned company, as part of a vision to promote shared investment in this important educational institution. ISA alumni all automatically become proud shareholders of their former school.
Augsburg's age old tradition of international banking and trading along with its official nomination as a City of Peace is the perfect environment for an international school. The school's current reputation and steady growth are assurance that ISA will continue to thrive.
